A new postdoctoral researcher has joined CiTOS: Dr. Barakha Saxena.
Barakha obtained her PhD from the Green Organic Synthesis Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, at the Indiana Institute of Technology, Roorkee under the supervision of Professor Anuj Sharma. Her doctoral research explored the use of light and mechanochemistry to develop greener and more sustainable sulfonylation reactions. She subsequently pursued research at the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis before moving to Liège.
At CiTOS, her research will focus on the AQUA-FLOW project, which combines aqueous micellar catalysis with visible-light flow photochemistry to develop sustainable and scalable radical transformations through electron donor-acceptor complex activation.
